Based on the ‘Daily Diary’ concept developed by Prof Rory Wilson Swansea University the CATS Diary stands for our universal multi-sensor platform.
It can be customized to many uses in terrestrial, avian, or marine environments. It consists of a full tri-axial IMU (accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer) and light sensor in its most basic form. The user can add pressure and temperature sensors as well as a GPS for example.
The standard version of the CATS Diary (CD) is fully wireless, whether it is for recharging, programming or downloading files. It is a high-resolution multi-sensor recorder capable of resolving fine-scale movement (sampling at up to 400 Hz). The CATS Diary is designed with a flexible sensor configuration, allowing the customer to choose from a set of sensors to be included.
The CATS Mini Diary (CMD) is an extremely small and power-efficient USB device, capable of sampling up to 100Hz. It can also be equipped with a GPS and extra sensors.
